Curriculum Structure

The two-year part-time Master of Clinical Pharmacy (MClinPharm) curriculum requires completion of 7 core courses and 2 elective courses with credit units ranging from 3-credit course to 9-credit course, in addition to a 15-credit capstone project. The courses in the programme are categorized into areas of clinical research, therapeutics, clinical practice, elective and capstone project.

A normal study load for each 3-credit course to 15-credit course constitute 60 – 300 learning hours respectively, including both contact hours and all other forms of student learning activity.

Assessment is based on a combination of continuous assessment and examination in written format and/or Objective Structured Clinical Pharmacy Examination (OSCPE). Continuous assessment comprises of class tests, in-class performance, and various types of assignments, such as written report, oral presentation, and group projects.

Students are required to achieve a ≥70% attendance rate and obtain a pass in assessments (of any form) as set forth by the Board of Studies in order to attain the degree. (The curriculum structure, credit units, Regulations and Syllabus for the 2021-22 academic year are subject to the University’s approval).
