Biography

Ms Kitty Law obtained her Bachelor of Pharmacy at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Master of Science in Pharmaceutics at Fudan University and Master of Clinical Pharmacy at the University of Hong Kong. She also completed Immunisation Training Programme For Registered Pharmacists by HKU. Before joining HKU, Kitty was the Pharmacy Service Manager of Health In Action and pharmacist-in-charge of Health In Action Community Pharmacy, which is the first teaching community pharmacy in Hong Kong.

Kitty has led initiatives to improve the availability and accessibility of pharmacy services in the community, so as to promote the role of community pharmacists in primary healthcare. With particular interest in community pharmacists' role in chronic disease management, she has worked jointly with HKU Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy to implement and deliver a pilot community-based medication management service and research project since 2020.

In addition, Kitty has been actively involved in capacity building for the pharmacy profession. She acted as an external supervisor of Community/Institutional Partnership and Pharmacy Service Planning Project for Master of Clinical Pharmacy and Master of Advanced Pharmacy students, and a preceptor for pharmacy students in the Pharmacy Experiential Education Programme. Recently Kitty has been a guest speaker and accessor of the Certificate Course in Primary Healthcare for Pharmacists.

Kitty is dedicated in service and practice development of primary care pharmacy. Currently she is working closely with various stakeholders of primary healthcare via a community pharmacy project, aiming to develop a model and practice framework for medication-related services in the local community.
